My mother was the last to pass away of the 15 Moon-Perrett kids; thus she became the keeper of the family photos and information that siblings had kept where there was no remaining family member to claim these treasures.
I have attempted to catalog this information in books that will be out for review at the reunion. I also have attempted to compile the Family Tree which I can email to you upon request - Excel Spreadsheet. The latest generation is not added - this was pretty up to date 4 years back, but has been sitting since that time. Speaking of aging - look what 4 years (almost and the stopping of making Hennalucent has done for my aging processing) OUCH!
The older I get, family is important to me. I only wish that I had taken an interest during the time period when my parents were living and their memory clear - there is so much I would like to know that I will never know - unless those of you reading this blog can help fill in some of the blanks.
Join us in Snow Camp this year - July 17th 2010 at Cane Creek Friends meeting with a huge picnic basket in tow. We are spending the day and some of us staying to watch the outdoor drama that night.
What began as a family in a rural part of North Carolina has spread out throughout the USA and to the Philippines. We are all connected no matter how far we have traveled. We are family and neither time nor distance can erase those ties. There are two young relatives still in the Philippines that I hope can raise the funds and jump through paperwork to get here.
I urge you to send this blog on to others who are a branch of this Family. Help add to, change, update what is written here: for one day your children will want to know where they came from and it will be nice if you know the answer.
Love you
Sue McVey Ward
